Oden faces the pirates to save Toki, woman who says that her dream is traveling to Wanokuni. Shortly afterwards Shirohige arrives to the island and after seeing the reason why he released the chain, accepts Oden in his crew. Once on the ship, Oden discovers that Inuarashi and Nekomamushi had also infiltrated as stowaways. Oden lives many adventures with the Shirohige Pirates and his relationship with Toki grows closer until they have a child together. Meanwhile, he news about a samurai that travels with the Shirohige Pirates attracts the attention of Gold Roger.
