Franky informs Nami that for some reason many enemies are on their way to the Live Floor. Meanwhile, Brook tries to flee with Robin in his arms from the fire that is spreading through the castle. In the combat at the rooftop, Yamato realizes that Kaidou is serious and actually tries to kill him. Yamato remembers that time when his father locked him up with three samurai. Yamato believed that they would kill him after Kaidou left a ration of food and several swords for them to kill each other. However, the samurai gave him all the food, as they too appreciated Oden. Yamato showed them Oden's diary, and since he couldn't read it, the samurai taught him. After 10 days, they would realize that Kaidou wanted to leave his son there to die, the samurai would escape to face Kaidou, unable to wait 20 years for the battle that Oden predicted.
