Ya-san continues fighting with Sommers and this time his attack manages to cut him in two at chest level. Without wasting any time, Ya-san starts running in search of the children, while Chopper chases after him interested in discovering how he managed to cut someone who is supposedly immortal. Meanwhile, Ange has already set the Owl Library on fire, while Killingham concludes the task by throwing a fire arrow at the school. Having fulfilled the demands, Gunko orders Ronja to leave the platform. Just then, Ya-san arrives to rescue the children, but Gunko pounces on Collon and threatens to kill him. Ya-san can see that the threat is real and decides to surrender, and is pierced by Gunko's arrows. Collon's screams calling for his father awaken a memory in Gunko where Brook appears. This causes Gunko to try to help Brook, but at that very moment, Gunko's body is possessed by Imu who, impatient with getting his army, decides to intervene.
