Both the Kyohei Pirates and the Elbaph giants reach the children's location, but a strong Ambition wave produced by Imu causes the weaker ones to lose consciousness. Gunko's body possessed by Imu has taken a devilish appearance with wings and a devil's tail. Brogy traps Imu in his hand, while ordering his nakama to go and save the children. But Imu tells Brogy to go and kill Jarul, and together with Dorry, they will proclaim themselves the new kings at his service. Imu summons a magic book from which he conjures a dagger and a huge double-barreled gun. Imu uses the dagger to stab Brogy's hand and free himself, then fires the gun disintegrating Brogy's wrist. Imu then summons a magic circle that swallows Brogy and causes him to resurface with a devilish appearance and a size that is huge even for a giant. Dorry and the rest of the giants begin to be converted as well. In the village, everyone tries to convince Jarul to leave, but for the old man it is not something a warrior would do.
