Luffy's words cause Imu to recall Joy Boy once again and realize that he is already dead. Imu wraps his arm in his black flames, allowing it to change its shape so he can follow Luffy as he stretches out. His punch sends Luffy crashing into the ground in a massive explosion. Imu summons more living black flames that chase after Luffy, but he strikes them, causing them to explode. Luffy then takes the form of a genie, declaring that Loki's death will not be in vain, even though Loki is actually still alive. Imu tries to finish off Loki, but Jinbe steps in to protect him. Imu notices the state of Gunko's ice cube and that Brook calls her Princess Shuri. Luffy tries to strike Imu while he's off guard, but his attack is blocked. Imu dissolves his spear into a black flame, which he absorbs with his halo to produce a new weapon, the sword "Bohu". Imu pierces Luffy with the sword while asserting that he is not Joy Boy, since Joy Boy wouldn't be this weak.
