I'm Me on Sundays
Singing Arc EP
The Ghost That Carried Us Away
Lion Face Boy / Cold Summer 7" (2009)
We Built a Fire (2010)
While the Fire Dies EP (2010)

Algunas de sus canciones y letras son:
Cold Summer
Spoiler: Mostrar
Your teeth too big for your mouth
Every summer we'd pull the stinger out

Looking like our parents did
Drunk at the dance, I knew you hid
Picture of her eyes under your skin
She wasn't old enough to let love in

I can see your eyes turn blue
I can see the weather changing you
Cold summers, one after the other
Got old fast, grew tired of each other

Born across from you
Proud sleepless child, followed her
It's getting harder to find it in me
Bite my lipe, fall asleep
But now, but now can be
falling down
filling, filling the empty

She could sing to shipmen
I lay my eyes on you
down where we grew lost
find your month and winter skin
It's getting harder to find it in me
I scab my wounds and fall asleep.
But now, but now can be
falling down
filling, filling the empty.

Half-remembered
Drunken nights
The sun stayed up like
a diamond in the sky

I woke up - where have you been?
I know I'm bored
and my blood is pretty thin
But some nights I swear
There was magic in the air:

A fox invites me to part from loneliness
Wolfes seem to create scent
An owl in my head

Your head's in headlock
Are you in trouble again?
Now you've lost another friend

You felt something
But you're never feeling loved
Wind that'll break men
You're the one that freaking lost
Hands Remember
Spoiler: Mostrar
Do you remember
What things looked like when you were young?
The voice of an old friend
Or the notes to your first song

It's been awhile now
Since you asked me to be
Your cat, your dog, your owl, your bumblebee

Lately I've been feeling like the day is gonna come
You'll walk up to me and erase my memory
Can't wait to feel brand new
I can't wait to meet you again...friend

I think I must have known you
In another life
I think our rocking chairs
Used to rock together all night

With pictures of owls
All over the walls
Tiny ships in bottles
They won't sail too far
Fire dies slow
I'll build you a fire

I'll drown

He’s alone in his house out there,
far, far away,
he sleeps with his eyes open.
He was so sad last night,
in this house out there
he took my hand
and whispered.

And life is so sad
in this house out there,
his window’s alright
his garden is wonderful.

But this waterfall salt tears
comes from him,
he will fill his house.

He takes my hand
and whispers:
I’ll drown when I see you,
I’ll drown when I see you,
I’ll drown when I see you.

These tears run so fast
in his house out there
he tried to get out,
his house took his hand and smiled.

You’ll never escape
from this sad, sad house,
I take his hand,
we sink.

I’ll drown when I see you,
I’ll drown when I see you,
I’ll drown when I see you,
I do.
Smashed Birds
Spoiler: Mostrar
I walk the road when I realise my death
The road that knows about my pity, little past
I grab one note and put it in my pocket
With your birds.

I walked the road
until I came close to your house.
Your house was floating on my water
I asked one tree one tree to take me in
To your house.

And there I took all of your birds
and I smashed them in my pocket-Oh
And then I got the feathers off and
I made myself a beautiful dress.

In your basement was a letter to myself
You wrote it when we were married
I took this note and put it in my mouth
With your words.

And then I took all your words and I ate them by the fire-Oh
And then I tore the pages up and
I made myself a beautiful dress.

I spoke your words out in your garden where
I built my new house near your flowers, trees & bees
I told our trees and bees to fly away
With your words and your birds.

And then I took all your words and I ate them by the fire-Oh

Two more, esta vez ambos de folk.
The Civil Wars

The head and the heart
The head and the heart es una banda de folk formada el verano del 2009 por Josiah Johnson (voz, guitarra, percusión), Jonathan Russell (voz, guitarra, percusión), Charity Rose Thielen (violin, voz), Chris Zasche (bajo), Kenny Hensley (piano) y Tyler Williams (tambor). Una de sus canciones "Rivers and Roads" apareció en el capítulo final de Chuck y en un capítulo de How I met your mother.

Oh, I'll miss the days we had

Loving, leaving, it's too late for this now
Such esteem for each has gone
Has time driven our season away?
Cause that's the way it seems
In the world of the speech that is new
I'll be back again to stay
Again to stay
I'll be back again to stay
Again to stay
I'll be back again to stay
Heaven go easy on me

Guys, what are we doing
Can’t live this way forever
Gotta make ourselves some money
Or be thrown out with the bathwater

My sister and my brother
Look to me for answers
And our fathers and our mothers
Wanna know they raised us right
Wanna know they raised us right

Isn’t that the good life is a simple one
(backup) Sittin’ in the yard watchin’ the leaves go by
Reading good books and playing songs
Watching the wind blow through your front yard
Don’t follow your head
Follow your heart

While you’re sitting all alone in your room on your bed
And your windows are open but you won’t go out, no
Heaven go easy on me
While you’re sitting all alone in your room on your bed
And your windows are open but you won’t go out, no
Heaven go easy on me

It’s damn good to have met you
I hope that you stay
We’re well on our way (repeat)

(backup) All these things are rushing by (repeat)

All things must end darling (repeat)

Heaven go easy on me

Aparte de sus grandes versiones como "Wives and lovers" o "You make me feel like a natural woman", tiene excelentes composiciones.

Aquí un par de canciones de el.

Inside me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WDkeBR-EqM

Back to life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X22AmdPpBw4

Rock Revenge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZeoUTxdGAw

Fuego Amigo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wDmXaVe4yM

¡No!

Icelandic contemporary composer Ólafur Arnalds created and released a new song, one per day for a whole week during the month of October 2011. The songs were recorded and filmed live in the living room of his Reykjavik apartment and released instantly for free as streamed videos and mp3 downloads.
