Oden runs towards Kaidou while his vassals cover him, the kunoichi Shinobu also appears by surprise to assist his attack. Oden manages to get to Kaidou and knocks him down, however Higurashi uses his ability to trick Oden into believing that Momonosuke was captured. All are captured and sentenced to die by boiling, except Shinobu, who Oden refuses to acknowledge as his ally. On the day of the sentence, Oden makes one last request, if they boil for the time that Kaidou estimates, everyone who survives will be released.
