Lilith escorts the crew inside the lab, but it's all a trap and they are attacked by a Jinbe Seraphim who also seems to have the powers of an Akuma no Mi. Franky manages to neutralize him using his laser, which attracts the attention of Vegapunk "Edison". The fight makes Edison come up with an idea to improve the project, which he leaves in charge of Pythagoras while York covers the basic needs of all of them. Meanwhile, Shaka shows up to stop the fight. He introduces himself to everyone as another Vegapunk and tells them that this island is not really futuristic, but resembles a civilization from 900 years ago. At the same time, Luffy's group arrives at some ruins where there seem to be remains of ancient robots.
