Cobra remembers hearing Imu's name before, as one of the "first 20". Imu confesses that the "D" is the name of their enemies and that the Poneglyph were scattered around the world as a way to maintain interest in them. Cobra realizes that he will no longer get out of there alive, when Imu asks him for the full name that signs Lily's letter. At the very moment Cobra answers "Nefertari D. Lily", he is pierced by a mysterious arrow-shaped tentacle. Sabo, who was eavesdropping on the conversation, launches a huge flare trying to protect Cobra. After the attack, Imu and the Gorousei have transformed into shadowy creatures. Sabo tries to flee carrying Cobra, but they are attacked again by the tentacle. Cobra decides to stay and die, but first he asks Sabo to tell Luffy that they are also part of the "D" family. Wapol has been able to see everything through a hole in the wall and knows that now his life will be in danger. In a nearby room, the CP0 holds Vivi captive, but Wapol breaks through the castle walls in his escape and Vivi decides to hold on to him.
