Kuma watches Luffy training on Mount Colubo as he recalls the conversation he had years ago with Dragon about his son. Before being discovered by Luffy, Kuma leaves the place to fulfill his mission. Kuma continued to write letters to Bonney about the places he was visiting and where he would like to take her someday. However, Bonney never got to receive these letters, they were all intercepted and destroyed by agent Alpha. Kuma visits Vegapunk's lab and talks with Stussy about the process of losing consciousness, but Vegapunk promises him that he will keep it until the operation is finished. In the Sorbet Kingdom, Conney informs everyone that Alpha and the doctors are intelligence agents, she has arranged everything so Bonney can flee in search of her father. Alpha tries to stop Bonney before she boards the ship, but Bonney uses her ability to fight by adopting a hypothetical adult form of herself as Nika.
