While he waits to recover his appearance to take his revenge on Doflamingo, the toy soldier begins to remember his past. Kyros was a troublesome boy from the suburbs who killed two people during a fight, so he was arrested by soldiers of Dressrosa Kingdom. Under the supervision of King Riku, Kyros participated in the coliseum with the promise of being released after achieving 100 victories. However, Kyros realized that despite his achievements people would never forget his crimes, so he decided to remain a gladiator until King Riku adopted him as the commander of his army. In his new role, Riku met princess Scarlet, woman who fall in love with him. Unfortunately, this love would never be well seen and both, with the help of the king, would have to fake their death to live together.
