Sommers is surprised at how close the last attack came, but he realizes that Zoro is unable to control his "dynasty traits". Zoro stabs Sommers in the back while he is distracted, grazing his heart once again. Sommers summons his "Ibalauncher", but Zoro cuts through the shower of thorns and manages to sever his hand. However, his attack remains incomplete, and Sommers continues to regenerate. Sommers combines his ability with "Gram" for his next attack, but in the exchange, both the "Ibalauncher" and the ship are destroyed. Zoro continues to cut Sommers to pieces as Sommers regenerates, until suddenly one of his hands falls lifeless to the ground. Zoro recalls Mihawk's words about "dynasty traits", defining them as "one’s very self". Sommers' face then falls as he realizes that Zoro is finally able to control it.
