After taking Luffy’s punch, Imu unleashes some living black flames that cling to Loki and Luffy. These flames mark the point of impact for Imu’s next attack, a massive sword of flames that pierces Loki’s chest. Meanwhile, Brook and the rest of the crew try to destroy the Ice block trapping Gunko, but none of their attacks have any effect. After taking the previous attack, Loki falls to the ground, causing Ragnir to strike the ice block that begins to melt. Imu tries to repeat the previous attack on Luffy, but Luffy removes his cloak to take out the flames, causing the attack to strike only the cloak. At the port, Zoro prepares to face Sommers. Meanwhile, in the village, Sanji concludes that the best way to neutralize Zaza is to attack the main cause, claiming he knows Killingham’s weakness. However, Killingham doesn’t believe Sanji possesses "dynastic traits" and strikes him, slamming him to the ground. Sanji begins to recall Gaban’s words about his aptitude to be a king himself, one who will make Luffy the Pirate King.

Shanks once returned to Mary Geoise, but decided to continue living in the lower world. Loki mentions how much fun it will be to get revenge on both, which Shamrock takes as a threat and causes him to awaken the power of his sword "Cerberus" to take Loki down. Shamrock and Gunko fly off in an "arrow bird" while commenting about bringing in reinforcements to capture the children of Elbaph. At Aurust Castle, the giants found passed out report being attacked by Shanks or at least someone identical to him. Luffy says that this is impossible and that besides Shanks never told him about any relatives, so he assumed that Roger's Pirates were his only family. For his part, Franky is guided by Ripley to the Adam Treasure Tree. There she shows Franky a mural dating back to the hundred years void, which she believes must have been drawn by children. Meanwhile, at the Owl Library, Saul shows Robin a book with the "Harley" in it. Robin begins to read the poem that talks about the three worlds.

The man shares Shuri's heterochromia and confesses that this trait is what piqued Imu's interest in taking her away. Brook is unable to accept what he's hearing and the princess' personality change, to which Shuri responds by piercing Brook's head with her sword. Back in the present, Brook explains that at the time he was unaware of the power of the Akuma no Mi, he thought the "devil" was a figment of his imagination, but now he realizes that Shuri might have been a victim and asks the rest of the Straw Hat crew to help him save her. Meanwhile, Luffy has regained his strength after eating and heads to battle. Imu tells Loki that they have taken the children hostage because 800 years ago the giants surrendered to save them. Road tells them that this castle has been abandoned since the death of King Harald, inside still rests the bones of those who died that day. Inside they find a portrait of King Harald, his head shows large scars because he himself tore off the horns inherited from his ancient blood. Road tells that Hajrudin and Loki are sons of different mothers. Hajrudin's mother came from outside Elbaph and due his blood he could not be the legitimate heir. Meanwhile, Loki continues to be tortured by the Holy Knights so he joins them. Gunko uses her ability to create arrows that determine the course of her attacks that will be inevitable. The man asks her to stop and removes his hood revealing himself to be Figarland Shamrock, the son of the newly promoted Gorousei. He has decided to change their strategy and contact Mary Geoise, their goal seems to be to bring the giants of Elbaph under the control of the World Government.

Road comments that the dream of all the giants is to become the “Sun God” and rule everyone, but this causes all the giants to start fighting as they disagree on whether this “Sun God” is a destroyer or liberator. Jarul explains that this is because the myth is written in ancient scriptures that give many interpretations, but what is clear is that this “Sun God” led to the destruction of the world on two occasions. The giants also tell that Loki wanted to be this god and this was probably what led him to kill his father, but thanks to Shanks they managed to stop him. This reminds Luffy about the deal he made with Loki to tell him things about Shanks and he convinces Zoro to help him. Nami overhears the conversation between the two and has Road take them in a svalr. Meanwhile, the two hooded intruders arrive at Loki's location with the intention of offering him a position among the Holy Knights. Loki refuses their offer, but the hooded intruders try to convince him by threatening the life of his wolf, which causes Loki to contain his anger to use it later to destroy the world.
